I’m a non-binary mixed media artist. I started using the checkerboard pattern in my art in 2008. I like how you can warp and manipulate the squares to make an illusion. I use the illusions to represent complicated emotions. I also like illusions because it is a harmless prank on the viewers brain. All eyes one me: How strange is it to be perceived by many people. Two of you: Choosing to be yourself vs changing yourself for the comfortability of someone else. I I I I : Just for fun.
