“After over one decade of working abroad in international education, I've come to appreciate the importance of Curiosity in not only pedagogy, but in interpersonal connections and even in the most basic practice of empathy. Curiosity, and the ability to step outside of our minds and learn how to interact with our surroundings remains a crucial skill in an increasingly globalized and interconnected world. While working in China, Japan, Bulgaria, and Kazakhstan, I utilized every long weekend and extended vacation to seek out adventures to places with gorgeous, yet raw and stark landscapes and rich, uncomfortable histories. All of my images have enlightening, humbling stories behind them as I seek to capture and share my own awe. I want my images to inspire curiosity and wanderlust in my audiences and make people ask: which adventures and experiences do I seek?
