ADRIENNE SANDUSKY'S Remnants Of Light

Abstraction functions as an act of discovery, allowing each composition to unfold through curiosity and revision. Through painting, drawing, and printmaking, I build layered works intuitively, embracing uncertainty as forms emerge through response and observation rather than a predetermined image. Each mark informs the next as texture, line, color, and space gradually reveal themselves. My process holds a tension between order and chaos, structured systems and organic movement. As layers accumulate, forms appear, recede, and evolve, creating shifting relationships that invite sustained observation. The work resists a singular interpretation, allowing viewers to discover their own visual connections. With each composition, viewers are invited to slow down and consider how perception is shaped by memory, emotion, experience, and perspective. The work creates a dialogue between artwork and viewer, where meaning emerges through looking and opens space for curiosity, connection, and reflection.
