Allison Horn comes from a family of artists and she has always felt a strong need to create. Her photography often has a vibrant energy, high contrast and utopian edge. Horn's work invites curiosity, evokes unexpected emotion, and sparks new ideas, all while aiming to simply delight the eye. She is inspired to experiment with unconventional perspectives, bold color, unexpected textures and intentional composition. Horn thrives when she is able to take a risk with something, not knowing exactly what to expect and then getting to analyze the results. She often shoots with expired and experimental film. Creating art is required Horn's life and she will never not be creating art.
