My newest painting in the exhibition, completed around my birthday in April 2026.
This was another older piece that I brought back out after sitting unfinished for three or four years. I started the base level after first visiting Duke Bakery on the STL Donut Tour in August 2022, but got sidetracked by other projects before finally returning to it.
Something about the building always stood out to me—the clean lines, the bold lettering, and that donut wall off to the side. All of those details came together to make what I thought would be a great composition.
