KIMBERLYN RENEE'S Judy The Riveter

I am a surrealist pop painter. One of my ongoing series is that of Judy, a life sized blow up doll. The goal of this series is to highlight the absurd and contradictory standards placed on women by society. It aims to take back some of that power by subverting the expectation of objectification. Through this series, Judy becomes so much more than just an object, a "thing". My hope is that my paintings give her personality, humanity, a story, and that this story can serve to empower and inspire women in a society that often does not give us the respect we deserve.
