Koi Pond by TIM JUDGE
"All my work is oil paint on canvas or hardboard. I’ve been called a traditional American realist. Most of my subjects are taken from everyday life as in these cases; a fish pond, mall scene and local neighborhood, for example. My subjects are commonplace. I try to capture a sense of humanness or humanity that I see as each displays their perfections and flaws. Much of my work emanates a positivity or “glass is half full” attitude about life I think. I hope I’ve been able to explain a bit of my thought process so that it may help with understanding my work."
