In the depths of time, lost in the echoes of an old estate sale, I unearthed a box of relics—a collection of photographs capturing lives once lived but forgotten by the nieces inheriting them. These photographs, obsolete to those who found them, belonged to another line of the family, one they never knew. On the back of one of the photographs found in the box was written, "to Uncle Smith February 9, this was the happiest day of my life." This discovery sparked the "Happiest Day of My Life" series, an enigmatic journey through forgotten memories and untold stories.

This work whispers of perseverance and resilience. I see the everygirl, a fierce spirit destined to illuminate the oppressive shadows that seek to confine her. Each fragment of this work, is a reverence to this mysterious young woman who, despite the world's adversity, stands tall—an emblem of potential and exuberance. Inspired by my daughters' life phases, this work reflects the cyclical strength of women.
