"Making art is an adventure into the unknown. My art trip and process are analogous to my life. Build it, break it, rebuild. Let the materials be the story. When it’s too focused on the goal, a work becomes stunted. The adventure is in letting go, not being afraid to restart, allowing the work to be the discovery, the journey. 20th-century ab-ex art inspires me. So, why abstraction? Everything is abstract. We only perceive a reality that we have been taught. Our brains are flexible and only create what we tell them to in order to survive. What if we let our perceptions be our guide? The pieces submitted for your consideration are densely packed canvasses that have undergone many restarts to get where they are today. They are works of internal inspiration from external life happenings."

As I Think About What A Woman Wants, An Entanglement Happens is a work that compels the viewer to consider the plight of a woman's entanglement with the unfortunate status quo.
