I began macraweaving as a form of physical, emotional, and creative rehabilitation after a near fatal car accident that resulted in a broken neck and broken back and unable to paint. My process is both mindful and unmindful as I lose myself in the rhythm Of tying knots then make thoughtful design and color decisions as the pieces reveal themselves to me. I explore themes of continuity and spontaneity by juxtaposing colors and textures that, at first, do not seem to compliment one another but once completed, tell stories that reflect how unpredictable life can be.
