There's a fitting metaphor between food and art that vividly describes my artistic interest. It lies in the parallel between the process of creating food and the underlying thoughts behind my art making. Painting, to me, is akin to cooking—it's flavorful, brimming with passion and love. The fire and heat are so intense that possibilities burst forth with every decision. As an artist dedicated to the perceptual world, I relish the narrative within paintings. It's not just about the visual resemblance stemming from the representation of the reality I paint. Nor is it solely about the pleasure of constructing stories through pictorial images. I delve into the narrative within the colors and lines—a form of visual poetry. This poetry dwells within the abstraction of painting itself, and I use it to explore the seen and unseen relationships that shaped my life.
