“I am a handmade contemporary collage artist. My work explores concepts of separation, geographical distance, self-exploration, our relationship with nature, and the absurd. My technique varies and at times paper is cut precise and meticulously and others it's torn in a more unpredictable manner or a combination of both. One
aspect of my work that remains constant is the inclination to use the least amount of images as possible, although this is not always the case, I find myself gravitating towards minimalism and simplification is often present in my work. Much of my inspiration comes from my desire to transform an image that captured me into
something completely different while maintaining some of it's original essence. Giving discarded images a new life is one of the thrilling aspects of collage.”
