In this scene, the ordinary objects tell a story of daily life, with simple objects evidence of a familiar daily routine. I am interested in these slices of shared human experience; scenes that feel so familiar that they are almost nostalgic. These spaces are intimate and, working 'en plein air' (on location, from direct observation), I am fully immersed in my surroundings and feel a deep connection to the people who have created them. The forced perspective or fish-eye effect emphasizes the closeness of the environment and invites the viewer to step into the space as well.
