SARVIA HASAN'S Lutu

LUTU was the first character Sarvia painted at this scale. She named her herself and has never stopped talking to her since.

Every night before sleep, Sarvia says goodnight to Lutu - “Goodnight Lutu. Goodnight Lutu Mommy. Goodnight Lutu Daddy.” To her, Lutu is not a painting; Lutu is a friend, a baby, a companion who lives alongside her in her world.

Sarvia was born prematurely, and the care and love she received from her earliest days is the same care she now pours into the characters she creates. What she received, she gives back - through color, through paint, and through the stories and names she gives to faces only she can see.

Lutu came before galleries, before exhibitions, before anyone thought to hang her work on a wall. She was painted the way all true things begin - quietly, from the inside, out of love.

Sarvia Hasan is the Guinness World Record holder for the youngest female to publish a book. She is three years old.
