Zipporah Cunningham is an African American multimedia surrealist artist from St. Louis, Missouri. She earned her BFA in Studio Art, with an emphasis in illustration and a minor in graphic design, from Webster University in 2022. Her work explores a distinctive creative universe where each piece tells its own story. Working with a bold and vibrant color palette, Cunningham creates paintings that feel like drawings brought to life. Her practice centers on illustrative storytelling, blending color, shape, and texture to evoke a sense of playfulness and imagination. Through these elements, she invites viewers into richly layered worlds that are both whimsical and expressive.
