My work explores how people exist within shared spaces while remaining disconnected from one another. I am drawn to the quiet tension that forms when we occupy the same environment but fail to interact. The spaces in my paintings are dreamlike and undefined, places that do not exist but still feel familiar. I build my compositions through collage so that each element feels slightly detached from the next. By emphasizing certain details and distorting others, I suggest how we each experience our surroundings differently. Through my paintings, I aim to immerse the viewer in that subtle disconnection and draw attention to our growing sense of isolationism and the diminishing presence of community within it.
