The small scale of my pieces serve two purposes. The first for the artist the limitation of the canvas acts as a lens to focus the process and remove the superfluous. For the viewer, the small size invites the viewer to engage in a close and concentrated examination. In a very literal sense, I want the viewer to get closer. In my artistic practice I have always gravitated to the idea of the remix; seeing the beauty in the common and often passed over is the essence of collage. Being able to pull what is often times detritus onto a canvas and behind a frame allows the viewer to re-contextualize what is beautiful and where we find it.

 

ALL ARTWORK CURRENTLY ON EXHIBIT IN THE 10TH BIANNUAL EXHIBITION WILL STAY ON DISPLAY AFTER PURCHASE UNTIL October 27TH 2024. Some exceptions on case-by-case basis. Shipping rates subject to change based on location and are the responsibility of the buyer. All sales are final.
