My paintings act as a transformative space for me to move through emotions and energy so I can act as a clear channel and guide in my work as an intuitive energy worker and somatic practitioner. The process allows me to fully step into my ability to create a space for others where they can feel safe to unravel their own stories of suffering and expand into the full spectrum of the human experience. I love working intuitively with color, expressive markmaking, layers of paint, and hand made collage papers to create depth. This piece is particularly meaningful to me because it marks the beginning of a more expressive style that's been emerging that feels more aligned with my desire to let go and be moved. The title "Parable" came to me after I created it and when I looked up the definition of "a simple story used to illustrate a spiritual lesson" resonated with many areas of my life. I hope when others see my work they will feel an invitation to be more of themselves.
