The vision for this body of work stems from my current journey to become content with my life. On this journey I am working on allowing myself to be present. I make time during my day to dwell on the things that I am grateful for. This helps me shift my mindset on a daily basis. When painting I am able to pause and be present with all of my inner thoughts and emotions. With this collection I created works of art with the intention of encouraging a similar moment of pause for the viewer. In this work you will see bold colors and evident brushstrokes. A constant in my work is the practice of creating without much planning. The only part of the process that is preplanned are the colors and style of painting I want to use. Each painting is open to the viewer's interpretation. Let this collection be the spark that causes you to put your mind at rest and breathe.
