My photography is inspired by the natural allure of the historical and the fantastic, encouraging the viewer to connect to and wonder about the characters portrayed therein. The essential components of my work— lighting, costume, and color design—are meticulously crafted to convey the emotions of an imaginary person, place or moment. Using my friends and family as subjects (as well as myself), my work frequently features reimagined versions of those closest to me, transforming us into dramatis personae and imbuing each of my works with small insights into my inner life.
